The Sr. Buyer leads strategic sourcing efforts from market research and vendor evaluation through contract execution, in partnership with key stakeholders. This role requires strong negotiation and contract management skills to drive supplier selection based on quality, cost, and business needs. The Sr. Buyer may also oversee order processing and delivery coordination to ensure timely and efficient procurement. Job Description:
- Analyze market trends and conduct supplier research to build category expertise and identify sourcing opportunities.
- Lead end-to-end RFx processes, including bid design, evaluation, and supplier selection in partnership with internal teams.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms, ensuring alignment with scope, RFPs, and corporate standards.
- Serve as liaison with Legal, Insurance, and business units to support contract execution and risk mitigation.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required with 5–7 years of purchasing experience, preferably in Indirect Procurement.
- Skilled in contract development and negotiation, including MSAs, SOWs, and pricing agreements.
- Strong analytical and cost analysis skills with the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
- Highly collaborative, self-motivated professional with excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; experience with large ERP’s like SAP Ariba, Coupa, iValua and CPM/CPSM certification are a plus.
