Job DescriptionJob Summary/Company: Our client, a growing company in the pet care/eCommerce space, is looking to add a dynamic HR Generalist to their team. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys a mix of employee relations and recruiting responsibilities and is ready to step into a hybrid HR/TA role. In this position, you’ll spend approximately 50% of your time on core HR responsibilities and the other 50% supporting full-cycle recruitment across a variety of roles—including call center, warehouse, and corporate teams. This role requires someone who is comfortable supporting multi-state, remote, exempt, and non-exempt employees, and who can thrive in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues and HR inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations

  • Support performance management, coaching, and employee development initiatives

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation

  • Provide HR guidance to supervisors and managers across departments

  • Partner with payroll and benefits teams as needed

  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and managing offers
  • Recruit for a mix of non-exempt (call center/warehouse) and exempt (corporate) roles

  • Collaborate with hiring managers on job postings, candidate experience, and hiring decisions

  • Coordinate onboarding to ensure a smooth and engaging start for new employees



Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Experience in the pet industry or eCommerce (pet industry strongly preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, with exposure to both employee relations and recruiting

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team

  • Previous experience recruiting for call center or warehouse roles

  • Solid knowledge of HR compliance and employee relations

  • Experience working with multi-state, remote, exempt, and non-exempt populations

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a generalist/HRBP capacity
