Job DescriptionJob Summary/Company: Our client, a growing company in the pet care/eCommerce space, is looking to add a dynamic HR Generalist to their team. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys a mix of employee relations and recruiting responsibilities and is ready to step into a hybrid HR/TA role. In this position, you’ll spend approximately 50% of your time on core HR responsibilities and the other 50% supporting full-cycle recruitment across a variety of roles—including call center, warehouse, and corporate teams. This role requires someone who is comfortable supporting multi-state, remote, exempt, and non-exempt employees, and who can thrive in a fast-paced, people-first environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues and HR inquiries

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations

Support performance management, coaching, and employee development initiatives

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation

Provide HR guidance to supervisors and managers across departments

Partner with payroll and benefits teams as needed
- Own the full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and managing offers

Recruit for a mix of non-exempt (call center/warehouse) and exempt (corporate) roles

Collaborate with hiring managers on job postings, candidate experience, and hiring decisions

Coordinate onboarding to ensure a smooth and engaging start for new employees
Qualifications/Background Profile:

Experience in the pet industry or eCommerce (pet industry strongly preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred

3–5 years of HR experience, with exposure to both employee relations and recruiting

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team

Previous experience recruiting for call center or warehouse roles

Solid knowledge of HR compliance and employee relations

Experience working with multi-state, remote, exempt, and non-exempt populations

Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a generalist/HRBP capacity
