Wellness Center Receptionist
JOB SUMMARY
Primary greeter and service person for members/guests utilizing Fitness Center, Spa and Pool area. Ability to multi-task, schedule appointments, answer phones and assist members as needed. Must stay abreast of the different club activities and services.
This position is working approximately 15-20 hours weekly.
DUTIES OR FUNCTIONS
Arrives on time for scheduled shifts, dressed in uniform and name tag is visible.
Responsible for overall inspection and cleanliness of Fitness Center, locker rooms and pool area.
AM & PM shifts must complete a checklist.
Equipment must be wiped down periodically during shift. Rugs vacuumed at end of day.
Issue towels for spa/shower services.
Issue daily locker keys.
Service desk must be kept neat, organized and clean.
Responsible for adhering to proper sign-in procedures for members and guests.
Responsible for charging as appropriate guest fees, retail fees, lessons, etc. on a POS system.
Responsible for adhering to proper registration for Group Exercise classes. Receive payment or bill account correctly.
Responsible for proper billing of Personal Training packages.
Must notify Director of any equipment/facility malfunctions or problems in fitness area, locker rooms and pool area.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Previous positions or experience in customer service, fitness and/or recreation receptionist desired.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or Equivalent
In-Service Training a Plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
0 Must be able to read, write and converse in English: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Effective visual skills.
Problem-solving rationalization.
Must have basic computer skills: Word, Outlook and Excel
Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages.
Must have the physical stamina to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, kneel, twist and transcend staircases.
Must have a valid US or Florida Driver's License.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
