Job Salary: $120k-$180k

Position Overview
The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance and planning for the firm, with a focus on alternative investments. This role involves managing tax strategies, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing expert guidance to clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of tax returns for various alternative investment entities
- Develop and implement tax strategies for clients in hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital
- Provide tax planning services and advice to clients
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations affecting alternative investments
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business and tax needs
- Supervise and mentor junior tax staff members
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably with a focus on alternative investments
- Strong understanding of tax regulations related to hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
