About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our Business Valuation & Forensic Accounting practice, supporting engagements involving complex valuation analyses, litigation support, financial investigations, and expert advisory services. This role combines deep technical accounting, strong analytical proficiency, and high-touch client interaction.
The Senior Manager will lead multiple concurrent engagements, manage project teams, deliver expert-level work product, and serve as a strategic advisor to clients, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Business Valuation

Lead and oversee valuations of businesses, equity interests, intangible assets, and financial instruments for purposes such as:

M&A / transaction support

Fair value (ASC 820, ASC 805)

Purchase price allocations
-
Impairment testing
-
ESOP valuations
-
Tax-related valuations (409A, gift/estate, etc.)

Develop and review complex financial models utilizing income, market, and cost approaches.

Prepare defensible valuation reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.

Coordinate with audit teams, tax advisors, attorneys, and executives to ensure alignment on valuation approaches and assumptions.
Forensic Accounting & Investigations

Lead forensic investigations involving:

Financial statement manipulation

Fraudulent schemes / asset misappropriation

Earnings management
-
Compliance breaches
-
Internal control weaknesses
-

Perform detailed analyses of financial records, bank statements, contracts, and electronic data.

Prepare findings for litigation, arbitration, mediation, and regulatory matters.

Work closely with legal counsel to support expert testimony, discovery, and evidence review.
Client Advisory & Engagement Leadership

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, attorneys, and executives throughout engagements.

Scope, price, and staff engagements, ensuring on-time and high-quality deliverables.

Present complex valuation and forensic findings to senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

Coach, mentor, and oversee staff, seniors, and managers on technical and professional development.
Practice Development

Support business development efforts, including proposal writing, pitch meetings, networking events, and thought leadership.

Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and cross-sell complementary advisory services.

Contribute to the development of internal methodologies, best practices, and training programs.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; Master's preferred.

CPA, CFA, ASA, ABV, CFE, or CVA strongly preferred (multiple credentials a plus).

8–12+ years of experience in valuation, forensic accounting, litigation support, or financial advisory.

Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, fair value standards, and valuation principles.

Demonstrated expertise building and reviewing highly complex valuation models.

Strong understanding of litigation processes, discovery, and evidentiary standards.

Exceptional communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.

Proven leadership ability with a track record of managing teams and multiple concurrent engagements.

Experience with business development or client-facing advisory work is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills

Experience with valuation tools and platforms (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook, Bloomberg).

Familiarity with forensic software such as IDEA, ACL, or data analytics platforms.

Strong Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
-
Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
