Position Summary:
The AM Server at Palm House is responsible for providing warm, attentive, and personalized service to guests during breakfast and brunch hours. This front-facing role ensures that guests begin their day with a seamless, elevated dining experience reflective of the property’s luxury standards.
We are seeking a polished hospitality professional who is passionate about service, knowledgeable about upscale breakfast offerings, and able to anticipate guest needs with grace and efficiency. This is a full-time position requiring open availability for early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Table Management
- Greet guests promptly and courteously as they are seated.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer knowledgeable recommendations based on guest preferences or dietary needs.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the hotel’s POS system, ensuring special requests and allergies are clearly communicated to the kitchen.
- Serve orders promptly and in accordance with service standards, ensuring proper placement, timing, and presentation.
- Monitor assigned tables and anticipate guest needs such as refills, additional requests, or modifications.
- Engage guests in a polished, professional manner that reflects the standards of a luxury environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area throughout service.
Collaboration & Efficiency
- Work closely with the culinary team, barista, and fellow servers to ensure a smooth flow of service.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen regarding order timing, modifications, and special requests.
- Assist with restocking side stations, polishing glassware/silverware, and setting up the dining room before service.
- Support bussers and hosts during busy periods to ensure guest satisfaction and table turnover.
Billing & Payments
- Present checks accurately and handle all payment methods, including room charges, credit cards, and cash.
- Ensure all charges are entered correctly in the POS and reconcile any discrepancies as needed.
- Follow proper cash-handling and end-of-shift procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server in a fine dining or upscale hotel restaurant required (minimum 1–2 years).
- Strong knowledge of breakfast and brunch service styles, including classic dishes, dietary accommodations, and specialty beverages.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills with the ability to maintain poise under pressure.
- Comfortable using a POS system (knowledge of Micros or similar systems preferred).
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Must maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company standards.
- Must have full availability for early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and be on feet for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., trays, dishes, coffee urns).
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout service.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor dining settings depending on the season.
