We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting and loading/unloading of products. This position requires route driving experience and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and care during transit.
- Follow assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during deliveries.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Experience
- Previous experience in delivery driving or courier services is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems is essential.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including loading/unloading, is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
- Customer service experience is highly valued, with a focus on professionalism and communication skills.
- Forklift certification is a nice-to-have but not mandatory; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
