Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Aventura, Florida. This position offers the opportunity to utilize your expertise in financial analysis, reconciliations, and accounting practices within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger management, expense tracking, and advanced proficiency with accounting software.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform detailed reconciliations for general ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Analyze and manage expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
• Record and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Utilize D365 to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.
• Conduct cash flow analysis and reconciliation to support financial planning.
• Collaborate with accounts payable to supervise and ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Prepare detailed financial reports to support decision-making and strategy.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and internal controls.• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, including general ledger management.
• Proficiency in D365 and advanced Excel, with a preference for candidates experienced in Sage 300.
• Strong analytical skills to perform expense analysis and financial reconciliations.
• Expertise in journal entries and month-end close procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage accounting tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
