Community Engagement Coordinator
Full-Time | On-Site - Boynton Beach, FL Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County
Join a mission-driven team making a real impact! The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to recruit, manage, and engage hundreds of volunteers to support literacy programs countywide.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and engage individuals and over 25 community groups to volunteer.
- Coordinate volunteer assignments, schedules, tracking, data entry, and retention.
- Manage and maintain the volunteer database using organizational and tech skills.
- Communicate effectively with volunteers through multiple channels.
- Plan volunteer appreciation events and support outreach efforts to promote literacy.
- Work on-site at the Blume Literacy Center, Mon-Fri between 8 a.m.-6 p.m., with occasional evenings/weekends.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent people and communication skills - build lasting relationships with individuals and groups.
- Strong sales mindset to promote volunteer opportunities and grow engagement.
- Proficient with technology and databases - experience with volunteer management systems a plus.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Passion for literacy and making a difference in the community.
