Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Miami, Florida. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation and delivery of frozen and refrigerated food products, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with logistics standards. Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of domestic and international shipments, including tracking, updates, and timely delivery.
• Coordinate drayage operations to ensure efficient transport of frozen and refrigerated cargo from ports to destinations.
• Communicate regularly with steamship lines, trucking companies, and forwarders to maintain smooth logistics operations.
• Address and resolve shipment issues promptly to prevent delays and disruptions.
• Collaborate with warehouse and transportation partners to optimize transit times and improve supply chain efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements in logistics operations to enhance overall performance.
• Maintain strong communication with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination.
• Provide shipment updates to customers and internal teams, fostering transparency and trust.
• Support occasional early-morning or late-evening coordination efforts for time-sensitive shipments.• Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related field.
• Knowledge of drayage operations, Incoterms, and international shipping procedures.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software is preferred.
• Willingness to communicate with truckers and customers during early morning hours to accommodate delivery schedules.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
