The VP of Investor Reporting will report to the Managing Director of Investor relations and oversee the production and maintenance of investor reporting for SROA’s real estate private equity Funds.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare/review responses to information requests from investors, providing portfolio and financial information as needed.
  • Liaise with fund accounting, investor services, legal, tax and finance teams to source information for specific investors for LP performance summaries and various requests.
  • Maintain investor request database and track status of outstanding inquiries.
  • Assist in the dissemination of general correspondence with investors and internal requests.
  • Oversee all adhoc investor reporting requests, including GRESB Reporting, Situs Reporting, NCREIF Reporting.
  • Assist in the aggregation, analytics, and preparation of quarterly investor and investor related materials.
  • Communicate effectively with teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve matters and participate in technology and process improvement initiatives.
  • Interface with members of the firm’s investment team, investor relations team, accounting group, and other groups within the firm to evaluate new investor requests to ensure consistency.
  • Explore opportunities to improve, automate and streamline strategic processes across various SROA functions and processes.
  • Work with Legal & Compliance team to ensure new initiatives/processes are in compliance with fund terms and requirements.
  • Oversee and manage timely update of information leveraged by various teams.
  • Support the Global Fund accounting team in an operational capacity for all Funds investments (i.e., wire instruction updates, follow-up with investors on late fundings).
  • Assist with investor-specific audit requests.
  • Support quarterly LP performance reporting process in coordination with valuations team.
  • Manage additional projects that advance the organization’s strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in the private equity industry (preferably private equity experience).
    Undergraduate degree in Accounting.
  • CPA or graduate degree preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, and highly organized.
  • Possesses a strong work ethic, professional integrity, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects.
