The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Commerce in fulfilling our Vision to Be Our Member's Financial Partner for Life. This is achieved through delivering remarkable member service as defined by our Service Standards as well as building and maintaining strong member relationships through identification of member's financial needs and effectively recommending appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
The Indirect Program Manager is responsible for daily oversight, production and management of Indirect auto loan operations and Commerce Connect, (which may in the future expand to other lines of indirect business), including monitoring relationships for programs terms, compliance and market conditions. Responsible for managing, expanding and maintaining desired and approved franchise dealer relationships for the Indirect Program Manager. Represents and coordinates various functions to develop additional business. Meet with Credit Union management for development of an annual budget and to provide appropriate feedback, to make recommendations and to communicate current industry market conditions. Contributes to the success of the credit union by providing prompt, efficient, accurate and friendly service to members, business partners and internal team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Indirect Program Manager is responsible for managing existing client relationships as well as actively seeking and developing new relationships.
- Ability to provide extraordinary loan status follow-up by email, phone and meetings with borrowers to discuss loan terms and conditions.
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment and achieve the personal, departmental and CU goals.
- Ability to prepare worksheets, prepare and maintain active loan pipeline and develop a call program for follow up.
- Maintain and enhance dealership/business relationships to increase local and outside core auto market penetration. Communicate program guidelines, expectations, terms and conditions to approved indirect auto dealers.
- Increase dealership relationships and local market penetration both inside and outside core market.
- Increase wallet penetration of Indirect members by establishing new deposit relationships, refinancing existing auto loans and cross-selling mortgages and home equity loans.
- Analyze and interpret dealer feedback to make recommendations on new products, rates and marketing strategies (events, promotions, promotional items, dealer incentives, etc.) based on local market, competitor programs and trends.
- Manages staff to ensure adherence to policy, guidelines and culture.
- Act as a resource for credit union staff regarding auto lending by answering questions related to lending policies and procedures, terms and timing. Provide training during on-boarding and lender training classes
- Communicate regulatory and legal requirements to dealerships to ensure safety, soundness and integrity of Credit Union is maintained.
- Possess competency and familiarity with Credit Union lending products and services to provide accurate and timely information to dealer base.
- Maintain desired reputation with dealers and businesses to ensure that the Credit Union is represented in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Maintain good working relationships with dealerships, businesses and peers to encourage expansion through member growth.
- Perform job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration, CFPB, RESPA/TILA, other Federal agencies and the State of Florida and State laws of other States where FCCU conducts business.
- Complies with BSA, OFAC, and CIP requirements such as checking names against OFAC for new deposit or loan relationships and issuing cashier checks
- Contribute to efficient credit union operations by performing duties accurately and in a timely manner. Must be available evenings and weekends as needed to review loans, attend business development opportunities, hand deliver documents, meet members at their place of business or residence to facilitate the dealer relationships.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all people, including fellow team members, members, senior management, board members and outside vendors. Cooperate with all credit union staff to ensure a "team effort" and to provide prompt member service.
- Maintain maximum security over valuables on hand. Adhere to established security procedures to ensure credit union security is maintained at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality in performing assignments relative to any information received directly or indirectly. Ensure that all information and transactions regarding credit union members are kept confidential.
- Maintain ongoing communication with Chief Lending Officer and Director of Consumer Lending by attending meetings as required to inform them of activity, pricing, conditions, pertinent service breaks, irregularities, new developments, changes and other important information.

- Attends meetings timely and as required; reports to work as scheduled and adheres to First Commerce's dress code.
- Performs other duties as assigned (not to include loan processing).
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
- 4-year college degree in Finance or Business and/or CUNA courses on lending or equivalent dealership/business experience.
- 3-5 years of similar or related experience to include strong sales skills, management and lending.
Skills – Must possess:
- Knowledge of auto business, loan products and services.
- Superior communication, interpersonal judgment and negotiation skills.
- Solid analytical mathematical skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends when deemed necessary.
- Ability to work with computers and various software applications.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to provide consistently courteous and positive member service as well as the ability to keep and foster the credit union's core values.
- Thorough knowledge of credit reporting to correctly analyze lending situations.
- Ability to complete in-class and online training as required by law or by the credit union.
- Require minimal supervision to achieve desired results.
