Position Summary:
The HR Manager plays a critical role in cultivating a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and driving strategic HR initiatives that support the growth and success of Paul Davis Restoration of the Emerald Coast. This individual will lead talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, payroll/benefits administration, and HR compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for all departments including field and office roles. Build relationships with local trade schools, veterans’ groups, and community hiring programs. -
Employee Relations & Culture:
Serve as a trusted resource for employees and leadership, fostering a positive work environment aligned with the Paul Davis Core Values. -
Compliance & HR Policies:
Maintain and enforce company policies in compliance with federal and Florida labor laws. Stay current with HR-related legislation and regulations. -
Performance Management:
Administer performance reviews, development plans, and progressive discipline programs. Provide coaching and support to supervisors and department heads. -
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
Manage benefits enrollment, coordinate with payroll providers, and act as a liaison for benefit providers. -
Onboarding & Offboarding:
Oversee all onboarding/offboarding processes and conduct orientation for new hires to ensure a smooth integration into company culture. -
HR Reporting & Systems:
Maintain accurate personnel files, manage HRIS data, and generate reports as needed.
Qualifications:

3+ years of HR management experience, preferably in construction, restoration, or trades-related businesses

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification is a plus

Knowledge of Florida state labor laws

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity

Experience with HRIS/payroll software (e.g., ADP, Gusto, Paychex)
