Job Overview
The Learning Experience is seeking a detail-oriented Childcare Compliance Specialist to support the licensing, transfer, and sale of childcare centers nationwide. This role plays a critical part in ensuring centers meet all state and federal childcare licensing requirements from construction through opening.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working with state agencies, inspections, and compliance documentation. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy structured processes, this role offers direct impact on national growth and center openings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and submit childcare licensing applications for new centers, transfers, and ownership changes
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal childcare licensing regulations
- Coordinate inspections and site visits with state agencies and internal construction teams
- Track center licensing progress from build-out through opening to meet required timelines
- Serve as the primary liaison with state and local childcare licensing authorities
- Provide licensing guidance, training, and technical support to franchise owners and internal partners
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align licensing timelines with operations and construction
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance tracking
- Travel up to 30 percent to support onsite inspections and licensing needs
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with government licensing agencies or regulatory compliance preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
- Ability to build professional relationships with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders
- Comfortable adapting priorities in a fast-moving environment
- General familiarity with business entities, compliance processes, or regulatory documentation preferred
