Job Description Temporary Senior Property Accountant
Location: Downtown Miami, FL (100% Onsite)
Contract Duration: 30-60 Days
Pay Rate: $40-$45/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant for a short-term, fully onsite contract in Downtown Miami. This role will play a critical part in supporting year-end audits. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, audit-savvy, and comfortable consolidating financials across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with year-end audits for multiple properties transitioning from development to operations
- Consolidate development books with property management accounting records
- Prepare audit-ready supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation
- Review rent rolls, general ledger activity, and supporting financial reports for accuracy
- Analyze consolidated financial statements to ensure completeness and proper classification
- Review property-related tax returns prepared by an external accounting firm
- Perform detailed account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
- 4-7+ years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate, property management, or development
- Proven experience with financial statement consolidation
- Strong background in audit preparation, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
