The Server is responsible for ensuring that every guest that dines with The Cake Bake Shop has “a magical and one of a kind experience” that will keep them coming back again and again. Servers must have a deep knowledge about Cake Bake Shop products to explain any ingredients, allergen warnings, and dietary restrictions; participate in suggestive selling and deliver all food and drinks to guests within the dining room.
Server Responsibilities:

Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.

Write patrons' food orders on order slips, and properly enter them into the POS for transmission to the kitchen.

Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, including the use of formal language and “on brand” word choice.

Maintain a clean and polished look, ensuring that the uniform is not dirty or wrinkled.

Knowledge of the food, beverage, and dessert menu, with the ability to make suggestions.

Knowledge of allergens on the menu and ability to steer guests with food allergies toward safe dishes.

Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to anticipate or correct any problems.

Keep management informed of any issues or potential problems.

Collect payments from tables.

Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.

Deliver food to tables, within and outside of designated sections as needed.

Help food preparation staff when necessary.

Preparation and cleaning within server ally and all necessary tools and equipment therein.

Adhere to all service standards outlined in the steps of service (greet, timing, glitter, offerings, celebrations, retail).

Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to support the overall success of the team and organization.
Server Requirements:

Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience in fine dining strongly preferred.

Liquor License

A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all other staff.

Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.

Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.

Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
