DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the efficient performance of warehousing operations including storage, security and accountability of aircraft parts & materials.
  • Responsible for the movement of repairable materials out to/return from repair vendors and company shops.
  • Performs all Shipping & Receiving functions to include ensuring timely and accurate receipt of inbound purchases and repairs.
  • Responsible for resolution and reporting of any shipping or receiving problems to supervision.
  • Comply with procedures related to safety and departmental standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate computerized inventory and handling vendor discrepancy resolutions.
  • Ensures that Company inventory and materials are properly accounted for and binned per industry standards.
  • Support parts buying and ordering for quoting purposes to work orders as requested by production departments finding lowest cost solutions and purchasing options.
  • Maintain and order consumable inventory for all production departments.
  • Prepare materials needed for daily maintenance readiness and redistribution.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with shipping, receiving, storing of hazardous materials, including employee awareness and training requirements.
  • Working in hangar/stockroom, subjected to noises due to proximity of airport runways.
  • Perform monthly/ quarterly inventory cycle counts.
  • Establishment of reorder thresholds
  • Support quoting and procuring parts and materials at the lowest price possible.
  • Establishing new and maintaining existing vendor relationships.
  • On time availability of parts and materials to coincide with maintenance/avionics scheduling.
  • Review of work orders to ensure all parts are issued.
  • Tracking of loaners and core returns to ensure timely return to vendor.
  • Procurement of necessary tools, equipment and/or materials not owned by Premier Aviation Services via loan, lease, or rental as needed.
  • Initiating purchase orders for stock as required.
  • Understanding the information in the latest edition of AC 20-62 Eligibility, Quality and Identification of Aeronautical Replacement Parts.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year background check and be on a FAA Drug Program, to include passing an initial Drug Screening, to be certified for SIDA access at the Stuart location.
  • 1-year previous experience in inventory control, purchasing or warehouse logistics preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and general internet applications.
  • Experience with the Corridor Work Order system preferred. Must be capable of learning new computer programs and software.
  • Ability to work well without supervision
  • Ability to be certified in the handling of hazardous materials. Must be willing and able to be Hazmat Trained and Certified.
  • Must possess good oral and written communications skills and problem-solving skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s license as this position requires use of company vehicle(s), must be insurable under company insurance coverage.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally with assistance (lift gate, manual pallet jack) lift and/or move objects weighing more than 100 pounds with forklift operation.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb ladders and stairs or balance
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Capable of operating small tools (hammer, crowbar, and screwdriver)
  • Capable of operating ground equipment (Forklift, Pickup Truck, manual pallet jack) and tow trailer behind pickup truck
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer
  • Ability to read, write and understand American English fluently to meet FAA regulations requirements.
