Responsibilities
The Administrative Associate is responsible for administrative duties including travel, procurement and HR processes for the Department of Religion.
Responsibilities include:
Serving as the department travel representative for Religion.
Assisting with faculty recruiting and organizing applications.
Supporting the administrative processes by assisting departmental administrators with special projects and other duties including conference event preparation as needed.
Serving as back up HR, Purchasing and Travel rep for Department of Classics.
Qualifications
High school diploma and five years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Anticipated Salary Range
The anticipated starting salary for the position is in the mid $30,000's.

Responsibilities
The Administrative Associate is responsible for administrative duties including travel, procurement and HR processes for the Department of Religion.
Responsibilities include:
Serving as the department travel representative for Religion.
- Handling the formation of non-employee profiles, OMNI entry of travel authorizations, expense reports and non-travel reimbursements. Confirming that appropriate supporting documents are submitted to the University imaging system. Utilizing a university travel card for some charges. Monitoring, tracking and reviewing travel authorizations, expense reports and non-travel reimbursements; ensuring a sound environment of internal controls and compliance with university and department policies and procedures.
- Entering all Faculty, Staff, Graduate Assistant and OPS personnel actions including recruiting, hiring, appointment paperwork, reappointments, mass appointments, courtesy appointments, terminations, funding/appointment changes/updates etc. in OMNI. Serving as backup FACET representative and backup Time and Leave coordinator. Ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and University laws, HR and College policies, and guidelines.
- Responsible for purchasing and receiving. Preparing and entering requisitions, changing orders, payment request forms, departmental online journal entry forms, SpearMart punch-out catalog orders, and other related tasks. Responsible for holding a P-card and making business related purchases for employees, supply purchases and other related purchasing activities. Ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and University laws, policies, and guidelines, including obtaining product information authorization and entering complete/accurate information in the purchasing system. Tracking procurement items from requisition to receipt & delivery to final payment phase. This includes obtaining product information, ensuring proper authorization has been obtained and entering procurement/receiving information in the purchasing system.

- Experience in office practices, procedures, and etiquette.
- Experience with record keeping, filing, and office systems.

- Ability to compile, review, and reconcile date for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Ability to interpret and apply related policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
