Job Summary
A member of the retail team, the Senior Part Time Sales Associate is responsible for sales execution and providing outstanding shopping experiences for our customers. This position will be responsible for opening and closing the store, with all deposit and opening/closing procedures followed strictly and consistently. This person will be the sales lead on the selling floor managing the direction of part-time staff.
Core Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales goals
- Maintain customer service standards to the highest possible level
- Take responsibility in coordination with the Retail Operations Manager for productivity and profitability of the store
- Maintain the highest level of security and safety awareness in the store
- Develop volunteers to be knowledgeable in areas of product, merchandising, customer service, and sales goals/objectives
- In coordination with the Retail Operations Manager, participate in the execution of effectively receiving and merchandising inventory
- Have thorough knowledge of sales floor and stockroom organization
- Responsible for all activities within the store in the absence of Retail Operations Manager
- Order change as needed
- Assist Retail Operations Manager with ordering supplies
- Ability to work shifts on weekends and holidays according to the needs of the store
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- High School Diploma
- Proficiency in POS Systems
- Excellent organizational skills, time management and attention to detail

Founded in 1983, Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a leading cultural attraction in South Florida that provides direct access to all guests. Today the Center is a global leader in the research, rehabilitation, and protection of sea turtles, serving our broader mission to promote ocean ecosystem conservation. Annually we host over 300,000 guests on campus and thousands more with our transformational education programs. We partner with nearly 100 organizations across six continents and 16 countries in ocean conservation.
Our founder, Eleanor Fletcher, created what was then the Childrens Museum of Juno Beach in in old home in Loggerhead Park. By 1990 The name was changed to the Marinelife Center of Juno Beach, and it had expanded into a temporary trailer with childrens pools. In 2007 the organization relocated to a newly constructed facility which is currently still part of campus, and the name changed again to Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Then in 2022 the campus was dramatically increased in size to incorporate more turtle hospital tanks, increased retail space, the Eleanor event space, the Oceanview Skydeck, Ocean Hall, the aquarium habitats and more.
LMC manages the Juno Beach Pier as well as the retail gift store operations at Manatee Lagoon and Cox Science Center and Aquarium.

The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position may involve working outdoors in Florida, often in hot and humid conditions, and at events that extend into evening and weekend hours. Must be willing and able to travel for offsite programming and possess a valid drivers license.

This is a non-essential, hourly, non-exempt position. The successful incumbent may be required to perform tasks beyond the scope of this job description as requested by the supervisor. This recruitment may be used to select candidates for additional open positions. It is our policy that all team members, including newly hired, transferred, and promoted team members, will be carefully monitored and evaluated for an initial introductory 3-month period on the job. After satisfactory completion of the introductory evaluation, such team members will be evaluated on an annual basis.
