Arts Bonita is a dynamic, community-based arts organization with two vibrant campuses offering year-round visual and performing arts education, exhibitions, concerts, and outreach. Our dance program is expanding rapidly following the opening of the state-of-the-art Helsel Family Dance Studio, and we are seeking passionate, creative instructors to help shape the next generation of dancers.

Position Summary:
Arts Bonita is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Dance Instructor to teach group classes for both youth and adult students. We welcome instructors of all dance disciplines, with high demand for tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, ballet, and contemporary styles. The ideal candidate is a motivated educator and performer with a passion for building a positive and inclusive dance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging and technically sound dance classes to students of various ages and skill levels.
- Develop lesson plans that are age-appropriate, inclusive, and aligned with student goals and progression.
- Provide individual feedback, encouragement, and mentorship to students.
- Prepare students for showcases, performances, or community events as needed.
- Maintain a safe and supportive studio environment.
- Collaborate with the Dance Program Coordinator and fellow instructors on scheduling and program development.
- Promote Arts Bonitas mission to inspire creativity, self-expression, and community through the arts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience teaching dance, preferably in a studio or arts education setting.
- Proficiency in one or more dance styles, with the ability to teach tap, jazz, or other popular genres a strong plus.
- Experience teaching both youth and adults.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
- CPR/First Aid certification and Level 2 background check (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Preferred:
- Choreography experience.
- Dance performance background.
- Experience working with students with disabilities or in inclusive dance environments.
