Aligned Solutions is exclusively partnering with a construction firm to identify a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a confidential search for a strategic finance leader to join the executive leadership team and oversee the financial health and operational effectiveness of a company known for its strong project portfolio and entrepreneurial culture.
Key Responsibilities:

Partner with the executive team to shape business strategy and financial planning.

Lead all financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Develop and monitor KPIs tied to project performance, job costing, and operational efficiency.

Oversee cash flow, working capital, bonding, and banking relationships.

Supervise the accounting team and foster a high-performance, accountable finance culture.

Support job costing, WIP reporting, AIA billing, and change order tracking processes.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax filings, risk management practices, and construction-specific standards.

Guide project teams on financial projections, margins, and profitability tracking.

Evaluate capital expenditures, contract performance, and investment opportunities.

Lead insurance, audit, and bonding coordination efforts with third-party partners.

Drive process improvements, systems optimization, and internal controls.

Champion best practices and mentor finance and accounting staff.
Qualifications:

10+ years of progressive financial leadership

5 years in construction REQUIRED (general contracting preferred).

Deep understanding of construction accounting: WIP schedules, job cost tracking, and revenue recognition via percentage-of-completion.

Experience with construction ERP systems—Sage 300 and/or Procore highly preferred.

Proven experience managing teams and building scalable financial infrastructure.

Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and a hands-on leadership style.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage cross-functionally.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

CPA and/or MBA highly preferred.
