The Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida is looking to hire a Full-time Cook to work at the Miccosukee Golf & Country Club. The cook will be responsible for the safe, efficient operations of the assigned workstation and must have strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation following prescribed recipes.

Job Duties:

  • Meets standards in regard to presentation, taste and portions.
  • Maintains food quality and eye-appealing appearance on all menu items in accordance with the standards of each recipe and pictures showing presentation of those items.
  • Ensures all workstations are properly setup and broken down in a timely manner during each meal period.
  • Logs kitchen waste and spoiled items and completes any other reports as assigned by the Executive Chef
  • Prepares logs and reports maintenance needs immediately
  • Enforces and follows all daily operational procedures
  • Ensures that the quality of the food is up to par with prescribed procedures
  • Every staff member is expected to adhere to the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida Merit System Policies; they are also expected to work collegially and support all the teams with which they have contact in achieving the Enterprise's objectives.
  • Any other duties as required commensurate with the position, department, and organization.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cook in a heavy volume operation or 3 years in preparation line staff position.
  • Culinary certification preferred
  • English required, bilingual preferred
  • Ability to lift/move approximately 30lbs.

Drug Screen and Background Check Required.
