The Role
Looking for a hands-on role with a great team and real impact? Join our fast-paced construction crew as a Driver! The driver plays a key support role in daily construction operations by providing dependable transportation to construction sites. In addition to driving responsibilities, the driver also assists with general labor tasks and the movement of materials on active job sites.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely transport employees and subcontractors to various job site locations in a timely, safe, and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate driving logs and complete pre-trip vehicle inspections.
- Conduct daily housekeeping of the vehicle and parking lot, along with weekly vehicle cleaning inside and out.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and efficient travel.
- Communicate with Superintendents, and jobsite Foremen.
- Assist with general labor tasks on active construction sites, including moving materials and supporting site operations.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the job site.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must meet and maintain company and insurance standards for a safe driving record.
- Must have held a valid United States driver's license for five years prior to qualifying for this role.
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- Must be willing to work longer days when job site schedules require.
- Adhere to all safety requirements and standards.
- Ability to work independently and meet set schedules for service.
- Positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read maps efficiently.
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a strong customer service orientation.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to function well as part of a team.
- Diligent attention to detail and safety.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
