Job Title: Vice President, Finance
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Role Overview: The Vice President of Finance is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing risk management, accounting, and compliance activities across the organization. This role partners with internal and external stakeholders to safeguard the financial health of the company while driving operational excellence and alignment with long-term goals. The VP of Finance plays a critical role in guiding financial compliance and risk.
Responsibilities:
- Supervisory: Directly oversees the Controller team and works closely with FP&A and external audit/tax partners.
- Financial Analysis: Assist FP&A with detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend identification, and performance metrics. Also, assist in budgeting and forecasting process.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to support long-term stability and compliance.
- Oversee the company's insurance portfolio, ensuring adequate coverage across operational needs.
- Develop and implement company-wide risk management policies and practices.
- Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting including coordinating with FP&A to provide periodic financial forecasts to the Tax Team to support accurate tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely tax payments and communication with the partners.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with department heads, operations, and other stakeholders to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Continuously enhance financial processes and systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Experience managing external vendor relationships, including audit and tax professionals.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field is required, CPA Required. Must have a strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
- Prior experience in nonprofit finance or data-driven organizations strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit or stand at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to participate in virtual meetings, requiring clear communication and active listening.
- Occasional light travel for team meetings may be needed, depending on the role's expectations.
- Must manage tasks efficiently in a digital environment that involves multitasking and prioritizing work.
Work Location & Travel
This role is remote-friendly. Candidates located near one of our offices in New York, NY or Fort Myers, FL
may be asked to work on a hybrid schedule. For those outside of these areas, occasional travel
may be required for team meetings, training, or company events.
