Job Title: Sales Representative

Job Summary:
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving vehicle sales by providing excellent customer service, building relationships with potential buyers, and effectively presenting vehicle features, pricing, and financing options. The Sales Representative plays a key role in achieving Gus Machado Ford sales goals and maintaining a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Engagement:

    • Greet and assist customers in a professional, friendly manner.
    • Assess customer needs and preferences to recommend appropriate vehicle options.
    • Provide detailed information on vehicle features, specifications, pricing, and promotions.
    • Answer customer inquiries about vehicles, financing, and warranties.
  2. Sales Process Management:

    • Lead customers through the entire car-buying process, from test drive to closing the sale.
    • Prepare and present sales proposals, including trade-in evaluations and financing options.
    • Negotiate prices, terms, and trade-ins to meet both customer needs and dealership objectives.
    • Assist customers in completing all necessary paperwork, including financing applications and contracts.
  3. Lead Generation and Follow-Up:

    • Prospect and generate new leads through various methods (cold calling, networking, social media, etc.).
    • Follow up with potential customers and existing leads to nurture relationships and encourage sales.
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified customers.
  4. Product Knowledge & Training:

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles in the dealership's inventory, including features, benefits, and promotions.
    • Participate in product training and dealership meetings to enhance knowledge and sales techniques.
    • Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and industry changes.
  5. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any post-sale concerns and providing ongoing support.
    • Handle customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally to ensure positive experiences.
    • Foster long-term relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  6. Achieving Sales Targets:

    • Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals.
    • Maintain a high closing rate on vehicle sales.
    • Continuously improve performance and sales strategies.
  7. Administrative Duties:

    • Complete accurate sales records, reports, and documentation.
    • Keep track of inventory and assist with vehicle delivery processes.
    • Collaborate with the finance and management teams to ensure smooth transaction processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Knowledge of car models, features, and the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Previous sales experience (preferably in automotive sales) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in using sales management software and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, including weekends and some evenings.
  • Work primarily on the dealership floor, with occasional off-site customer meetings or events.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, such as standing for extended periods and moving vehicles within the dealership.

Compensation:

  • Commission-based incentives and performance bonuses.
