Position Description:

  • We are looking for an experienced SBA Business Development Officer (BDO) to join our growing and dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new SBA loans nationwide.


Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Generate new SBA 7a loans in accordance with established goals and objectives.
  • Prescreen applications for appropriate structure, conformity and eligibility with SBA SOP and lenders credit risk policies.
  • Maintain relationships with referral sources and COI network.
  • Responsible for assisting clients through the SBA loan process and assisting team members with obtaining all necessary documentation needed for the transaction.
  • Attend industry conferences


Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in SBA Lending
  • Established referral sources and COI network to self-source deals
  • Strong knowledge of SBA SOP and ability to quickly understand various lenders credit policies
  • Strong working knowledge of financial analysis including cash flow, collateral and industry analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Finance
  • Must have the ability to work autonomously
