Area Sales Manager — Central Florida

Territory:
Central Florida, including Tampa through Naples on the west coast and Melbourne to Delray on the east coast.

Position Summary

The Area Sales Manager will drive sales growth for a leading medical device portfolio within the assigned territory. This role is responsible for reaching internal sales targets, building strong relationships with healthcare practitioners and their staff, and collaborating on sales strategies aligned with overall company goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve capital equipment sales quotas within the designated territory

  • Apply professional and ethical sales techniques to consistently close deals

  • Acquire in-depth product and competitive knowledge through training and research

  • Create awareness and generate demand for the company's products

  • Identify and engage prospective customers, leveraging leads and participating in key company events

  • Conduct daily sales outreach via various methods including in-person meetings, calls, video conferences, texts, and emails

  • Provide technical and administrative product information, prepare quotes, and close sales agreements

  • Maintain accurate quote documentation with proper pricing and configurations

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to align efforts and reach objectives

  • Monitor and report on market conditions, product innovations, competitor offerings, pricing, and sales trends

  • Negotiate contract details and payment terms within established company policies and guidelines

  • Support customers post-sale to resolve issues and ensure long-term satisfaction

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote products and services through events, dinners, and similar initiatives

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time within assigned territory

  • At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably with capital equipment or in a healthcare-related industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, marketing, business, or a related field (preferred)

  • Proven ability to build and nurture strong customer relationships

  • Documented track record of successful sales performance

  • Self-starter mindset; disciplined in managing and covering assigned territory through both cold-calling and proactive lead prospecting

  • Confident and capable of developing new customers and expanding existing relationships
