Position Overview: The Human Resources Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting HR functions within our hotels. This position will oversee various HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, compliance, and serving as an employee events champion. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and a passion for enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they have the necessary tools and information to succeed.
- Conduct reference checks and background screenings for prospective employees.
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
Employee Relations:
- Promote a positive work environment by mediating workplace conflicts and addressing employee grievances.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns.
Training and Development:
- Maintain training records and track employee progress in required training initiatives.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of employee training and development programs.
HR Administration:
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration as needed.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive information.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Prepare reports and analyze HR metrics to assist with decision-making and strategy development.
- Support the HR team in ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Culture and Engagement:
- Foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and professionalism across the hotel.
- Help organize employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
Qualifications:
A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in a human resources role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
