Corporate Accounting Manager
As the Corporate Accounting Manager, you will oversee a set of specific corporate subsidiaries' financial aspects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, preferably in the corporate real estate industry, and a proven track record of leadership and financial management. This responsibility would also include review and direct support, when required, of senior/staff level tasks related to the following areas:
General Accounting Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Record daily cash activity and complete daily bank reconciliations.
- Manage cash flow to ensure funds are available for operations and capital improvements.
- Record financial transactions via journal entries.
- Maintain detailed reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Assist in performing variance analyses and P/L reporting.
- Work to improve processes within assigned accounting functions.
- Perform other duties that are needed to support the accounting department.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
- Submit check runs, ACH transactions and wire transfers for weekly review/approval.
- Develop SOPs for new processes or update current SOPs for changes as needed.
- Collaborate with AP team members to ensure accuracy in invoice posting to general ledger.
- Evaluate all accounts payable balances and resolve all issues regarding unpaid invoices.
Reporting and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Assist with weekly department updates.
- Assist in preparation of weekly cash flow reports.
- Develop SOPs for new processes or update current SOPs for changes as needed.
- Coordinate and support both internal and external audits, addressing any findings and implementing improvements.
- Assist company/organization in establishing and maintaining internal controls and accounting best practices.
- Support the management and mentorship of staff and/or senior accountants.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Experience with financial systems software required, RealPage preferred.
- Strong, concise written and oral communication skills necessary; strong analytical skills; must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, multi-task and work independently.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and third parties.
