At Reunion Ktchn Bar Were seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef specialized in Chinese cuisine to join our team for an exciting new Chinese food restaurant in Aventura. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the menu and culinary direction of a concept that blends tradition, creativity, and an elevated dining experience.
What Youll Do:
- Work closely with the owners to develop and refine an innovative menu rooted in authentic and regional Chinese flavors
- Lead day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and presentation are exceptional
- Assist in sourcing ingredients, managing prep, and maintaining kitchen efficiency
- Train and guide kitchen staff in proper techniques and execution
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times
What Were Looking For:
- Proven experience as a sous chef or senior line cook specializing in Chinese cuisine
- Deep knowledge of traditional Chinese cooking techniques, Wok cooking techniques, ingredients, sauces, recipes and styles
- Creative flair for developing modern interpretations while respecting authenticity
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to thrive in a startup-style environment and collaborate directly with ownership
- English or Spanish language skill is a must
Preferred:
- Experience in concept development or opening new restaurants
