Continental Shelf Associates, Inc. (CSA), a multidisciplinary U.S. corporation with a steadfast dedication to the ocean industry, is seeking a Project Financial Accountant specializing in cost accounting to join our Stuart, FL office.
Role Overview
Monitor, analyze, and report on construction project costs while maintaining accurate financial records and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and report construction project costs and financial performance metrics
- Maintain detailed cost accounting records and generate comprehensive project reports
- Perform variance analysis to identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities
- Develop and monitor project budgets and financial forecasts
- Partner with project managers to ensure accurate cost allocation
- Track and analyze construction materials and supplies inventory costs
- Support monthly/annual closing processes for accurate project financial reporting
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven cost accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Must have flexibility and the ability to multi-task priorities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and independent work ethic
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
