John Knox Village is a not-for-profit Life Care Retirement Community offering a full range of independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care options for more than 1,000 senior residents on our 70-acre campus, located in Pompano Beach, convenient to major highways and transportation options.
Your role as a Mailroom Clerk
As a Mailroom Clerk at John Knox Village of Florida, you will play a vital role in our operations by receiving and sorting incoming U.S. Postal Service mail, interoffice correspondence, and various packages. Your responsibilities will include logging and tracking all incoming and outgoing packages, ensuring accurate distribution to resident mailboxes or designated drop-off points. You will process outgoing mail by weighing items, calculating postage, using a postage meter, and preparing items for postal pickup.
Maintaining an organized and clean mailroom is essential, along with the ability to handle time-sensitive and confidential materials with the utmost integrity and discretion. This role empowers you to contribute significantly to our customer-centric approach in the home health care industry.

To thrive as a Mailroom Clerk at John Knox Village of Florida, you will need a combination of essential skills and qualifications. A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with a valid Florida driver's license, which will enable you to navigate local areas for any necessary deliveries. Strong reading skills are crucial for accurately interpreting addresses and ensuring the correct distribution of mail. You should also be comfortable using mailroom equipment and software, as efficiency is key in managing the flow of correspondence and packages.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
