JOB SUMMARY:

Palm City Millwork is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to serve as the primary in-house resource for walk-in customers, contractors, and builders. This role is responsible for guiding customers through product selections, processing orders, preparing quotes, and ensuring exceptional customer service from initial inquiry through project completion. Unlike Outside Sales Representatives, this position is based at our office/showroom, focusing on walk-in traffic, phone/email inquiries, and in-house sales support. Prior knowledge of millwork products is highly preferred.

The Inside Sales Representative position serves as a pathway to an Outside Sales role, offering hands-on experience in sales support and customer interaction after transitioning into field sales responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcome and assist walk-in customers, contractors, and builders with product information and selections.
• Communicate with customers in person, by phone, and via email to provide timely support and service.
• Accurately enter and process customer orders, quotes, and proposals.
• Guide customers through product selections, including hardware, trim, doors, and millwork.
• Prepare written proposals and provide detailed project support from start to finish.
• Coordinate deliveries and scheduling with the Logistics team.
• Provide basic technical assistance and guidance regarding product installation.
• Assist walk-in customers with loading purchased materials as needed.
• Ensure all customer documentation is complete, accurate, and delivered promptly.
• Maintain strong customer relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities through quotes and service excellence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience and/or Training:

• Previous sales or customer service experience, preferably in millwork, construction, or building materials.
• Experience assisting customers with sales-related issues and providing real-time support throughout the sales process (bidding, quoting, closing, and follow-up).
• Proficiency with computers, order entry systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills; disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
• Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency to meet customer needs.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Positive and professional attitude.
