We are currently seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our growing team. This role will be tasked with being a liaison for the marketing department while coordinating with outside consultants/contractors as well as Merits own Sales Teams, R&D, Sales Support and Leadership. This is a full-time, in office position based out of our Fort Myers, FL, Corporate HQ.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the following duties and responsibilities: coordinating external contractors, have web design and navigation skills, professional and well mannered customer service skills, events/tradeshow coordination experience, public relations, video production, webinars and podcasts, and proofreading skills and experience. This role requires a minimum of two (2) recent years of related experience with DME or other manufacturing / related industry; or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training. This is an entry level position. The hourly pay rate will be based upon knowledge, skills, education, experience, and abilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with creation and maintenance of advertisement calendars and other advertisement events.
- Update MS Planner tasks regularly.
- Proofreading marketing assets to ensure accuracy.
- May act as focal point ensuring both print and digital ad assets are submitted on time and according to publication specifications.
- Support sales and customer services teams by providing analysis of ad campaign results and distribution of leads to appropriate departments.
- Assist internal and/or external teams in creating, updating, and improving marketing content including, but not limited to, graphics, videos, sell sheets, flyers, and price lists.
- Assists with ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all channels.
- Assists with helping maintain the company website and suggesting and documenting all changes across all departments.
- Assisting with organizing and executing marketing events and trade shows and maintaining annual tradeshow calendar.
- Assists with post-event documentation efforts.
- Assists with maintaining positive relationships with media contacts.
- Solves problems by researching in databases, or other merits departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge and experience using CRM and/or ERP platforms.- Must have WordPress experience.
- Must have an eye for detail and be able to proofread marketing material.
- Must have excellent problem solving skills and be a self starter who can work independently with little supervision.
- Very strong customer service skills are required.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- A willingness to work overtime, arrive early, and/or stay late according to business / project needs is needed.
- Must be dependable and keep an excellent attendance record.
- Must speak, read, and write fluent English and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A valid US drivers license in required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
