About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist with a strong background in construction accounting and AIA billing. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accuracy and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process high-volume accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

  • Prepare and submit AIA billing applications and supporting documentation in compliance with contract terms.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain organized records of all AP transactions and billing documentation.

  • Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.

  • Assist with month-end close processes, including accruals and reporting.

  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of AP experience in the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of AIA billing procedures and lien waivers.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, QuickBooks, or similar).

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.



Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
