We’re now looking for a skilled and dynamic HR Manager to take the helm of our Human Resources department and help steer our crew toward continued success.
Your Mission on Deck
As our HR Manager, you’ll oversee the full employee life cycle – from recruitment to offboarding – while building strategic relationships with company leaders, enhancing employee engagement, and strengthening our Power-Pole brand as an employer of choice. You’ll lead a team of HR professionals, navigate tricky waters with investigations and compliance, and ensure our crew is always supported and inspired.
Requirements:What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead organizational and employee development programs to strengthen leadership skills and overall performance.
- Manage compensation programs – from pay surveys to structure updates – to keep us competitive and attract the best talent on the water.
- Oversee onboarding programs to ensure new hires start their journey engaged and informed.
- Drive top-tier talent acquisition and retention strategies.
- Handle investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations with fairness and confidentiality.
- Develop clear company policies and ensure all hands are aware and aligned.
- Oversee robust benefits programs and recommend enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, representing the company at hearings when needed.
- Lead employee recognition programs and company events that keep our crew feeling valued.
- Support, counsel, and train employees across the organization.
- And of course, other duties to help keep our ship sailing smoothly.
What You Bring Aboard
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Management, or related field.
- SHRM certification preferred.
- 10+ years of HR experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of labor law, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Exceptional people management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality (your crew can trust you with the map to the treasure).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business tools.
Perks of Sailing with Us
- Competitive pay and benefits.
- A leadership role in a growing, innovation-driven marine industry company.
- A workplace culture where fishing stories are part of the daily current.
- Opportunities to make a real impact on our crew’s success and satisfaction.
