DINING ROOM MANAGER

Stonebridge Golf & Country Club, a premier private country club, is seeking to hire a Dining Room Manager to join our Food and Beverage management team. The Dining Room Manager will manage the service of members and guests in the dining room. Supervise, instruct and assist service staff in all aspects of their specific positions. Assures that member satisfaction standards are consistently met. The Dining Room Manager must uphold Stonebridge Country Club's core values, as well as the highest levels of food and beverage service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily Food & Beverage Service with a strong, visible presence during lunch and dinner.
  • Plans dining room set-up based on anticipated guest counts and client needs.
  • Lead daily pre-service lineups and supervise all dining room service staff.
  • Foster a culture of hospitality, excellence, and accountability among the team.
  • Partner with Clubhouse Manager, Managing Director of Culinary/Executive Chef and other Club leaders to ensure the highest level of service and member satisfaction.
  • Handle member/guests concerns with professionalism, following up and documenting actions taken.
  • Maintain proper dress code standards for both staff and members.
  • Track key dining metrics including cover counts, check averages, and labor costs.
  • Inspects dining room employees to ensure that they are in proper and clean uniforms at all times.
  • Assists in hiring, training, supervising, scheduling and evaluating dining room staff.
  • Produces daily or meal-period revenue analyses and other reports from point of sale (POS) systems used in the dining room.
  • Assures that all side-work is accomplished and that all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.
  • Directs pre-meal meetings with dining room personnel; relays pertinent information such as house count and menu changes, special member requests, etc.
  • Assures the correct appearance, cleanliness and safety of dining room areas, equipment and fixtures; checks the maintenance of all equipment in the dining room and reports deficiencies and maintenance concerns.
  • Assures that the dining room and other club areas are secure at the end of the business day.
  • Maintains an inventory of dining room items including silverware, coffee pots, water pitchers, glassware, flatware and china, salt and pepper holders, sugar bowls and linen and ensures that they are properly stored and accounted for.
  • May serve as club's opening and closing manager or manager on duty.
  • Assures that local and state laws and the club's policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
  • Performs other appropriate assignments and projects as required by the Clubhouse Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 to 4 years supervisory experience working in a comparable position in a private country club or fine dining restaurant.
  • Available to work flexible schedule including Lunch and Dinner and able to work on weekends and holidays.
  • Must be flexible and able to adjust to meet the changing needs of the Club and the Members.
  • Must maintain a level of professionalism and communicate effectively.
  • Possess the highest work ethics, personal morals and honesty beyond reproach.
  • Working knowledge of Jonas POS System preferred.
