Job Details
The Assistant Controller will play a key role in guiding financial strategies and ensuring operational efficiency. This position partners closely with senior leadership to deliver insights that drive informed business decisions, while also providing hands-on oversight of core accounting functions in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly accounting close and financial reporting processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to align with growth objectives
- Manage external audit processes and serve as liaison with auditors
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives across finance operations
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
- Prepare and distribute monthly reporting packages with clear variance analysis
- Monitor performance through actual vs. budget variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and other applicable regulations
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general financial systems
- Proven ability to make sound independent decisions in day-to-day operations
- Eligibility to work with ITAR-regulated products and data without restrictions
