The Ocean View isn’t your typical restaurant — we’re a local hangout, a post-fishing stop, a “just one more beer” kind of place, and a family-run pub that’s been part of Islamorada for decades. We’re looking for a Line Cook who’s dependable, quick on the grill, and brings good energy to our kitchen.
If you can handle a fast-paced line, keep a station clean, and plate a mahi sandwich that’d make a local proud... you’re our kind of person.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Cooking OV favorites with consistency (we take pride in dialing in our food)
- Keeping your station stocked, clean, and ready for the rush
- Helping with prep, labeling, rotating, and setting the team up for success
- Working the line during busy nights without losing your cool
- Communicating with the crew so the window runs smooth
- Bringing positive vibes — we’re a small team and we look out for each other
Who You Are
- Experienced? Awesome. Newer but eager to learn? Also awesome.
- Shows up on time and ready to work — no ghosting, no nonsense
- Can follow recipes and plate consistently
- Works well under pressure (we get slammed — especially weekends)
- Respectful, hardworking, and a team player
- Can lift 30 lbs and be on your feet most of the shift
