Job Summary:
Palmdale currently operates in more than 50 counties across Florida and provides a wide range of tailored commercial fuel and lubricant solutions to customers in the agricultural, industrial, construction, marine, and government sectors. Operating out of 19 locations statewide, the company is a leader in the industry in the procurement and sale of gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, commercial and industrial lubricants, and chemicals that are used across a diverse set of end markets.
The Collections & Credit Manager will support the Director of Credit in managing the company’s credit operations and risk management strategies. We are seeking an experienced Credit & Collections Manager with a strong background in commercial collections to oversee our collections operations. This role requires a proactive professional who can analyze the AR portfolio and drive effective collection strategies to maintain healthy cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full credit and collections process for all accounts.
- Manage team to ensure work performed follows collection strategies
- Review and approve new customer credit applications and limits.
- Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts.
- Identify and resolve customer disputes
- Work closely with billing, sales and operations teams to manage AR portfolio
- Maintain detailed records of communications and collection activity.
- Prepare weekly and ad hoc collections reports for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Required Qualifications:
The required skills for this position are:
- Minimum 5+ years of credit and collections experience, preferably in B2B or industrial sectors.
- Proven track record of reducing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and improving collections performance.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Exceptional in Microsoft Suite
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, etc.).
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
