Job Description

About Us

We are a fast-growing, family-owned food business with a strong focus on national distribution and ecommerce fulfillment. Our mission is to deliver quality products with exceptional service while building a supportive and team-driven culture. As we scale to meet growing demand, we are seeking a hands-on Warehouse & Facility Manager to oversee daily operations and lead a team of 20+ employees.

This role is critical to ensuring our warehouse runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. We do not operate our own trucks — all freight is handled through trusted common carrier partners — so strong coordination and logistics management skills are key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory, storage, and shipping.
  • Manage warehouse staff (forklift drivers, ecommerce team, and general warehouse employees) through scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, stock counts, and shipping/receiving documentation.
  • Partner with suppliers, carriers, and logistics providers (common carriers only) to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery nationwide.
  • Manage facility maintenance and coordinate with vendors/contractors for repairs and upkeep.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  • Operate a forklift as needed to support day-to-day operations.
  • Lead process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support the company’s growth.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and developing warehouse staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse or facility management experience.
  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams of 15+ employees.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, and safety regulations.
  • Experience working with common carriers for distribution; WMS or TMS experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or related field preferred.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and budgeting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

  • Non-airconditioned warehouse environment.
  • Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
