POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief of Marketing and Business Development Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and business development strategies that enhance GOLDLAW's visibility, foster community relationships, and drive client engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker with significant expertise in mass media (including television, radio, outdoor, and other mediums); digital advertising, event management, graphic design, videography, customer relations, artificial intelligence, and public relations.
JOB DUTIES:
Strategic Partnership Development
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with businesses, charities, organizations, and influencers to expand the firm’s reach and client base.
- Optimizing Client Acquisition Channels: Continuously evaluating marketing channels and tactics to maximize qualified lead generation. This includes analyzing data to identify high-performing campaigns and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with partners on co-branded initiatives, events, and marketing campaigns that benefit both parties.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with charities, businesses, organizations, and influencers to expand the firm’s reach and client base.
Mass Media (TV, Billboards, OTT Streaming, Outdoor, and Public Relations)
- Oversee the firm’s mass media outreach, including press releases, media relations, and public appearances.
- Manage digital advertising campaigns across various platforms to enhance brand awareness and generate leads.
Business Development
- Spearhead business development initiatives to expand GOLDLAW's client base and revenue.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential referral partners, including medical professionals, law firms, legal industry vendors, and other relevant partners.
- Collaborate with the firm’s legal teams to identify opportunities for cross-selling and reselling of legal services to existing clients and lead business development initiatives to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
- Identify potential clients and develop strategies to convert prospects into clients.
Community and Charity Involvement
- Foster relationships with local organizations and charities to enhance community engagement.
- Develop initiatives that promote the firm’s commitment to social responsibility and community support.
Social Media and Digital Marketing
- Develop and implement social media strategies that engage clients and prospects.
- Oversee the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing , digital advertising through META and Google, and community outreach.
- Collaborate with the Chief of Marketing & Brand Experience Officer to identify target audiences, refine messaging, and optimize marketing campaigns for maximum impact and ROI.
- Ensure marketing efforts align with brand guidelines and uphold the GOLDLAW brand.
- Monitor social media channels and analyze performance metrics to optimize content and engagement.
Graphic Design
- Oversee and create graphic design projects to support all such needs across our multiple marketing channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Foster collaboration and communication with the Chief of Marketing & Brand Experience Officer to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
- Facilitate regular meetings to encourage knowledge sharing, idea exchange, and collaboration on joint initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between the marketing and New Case (Intake) teams, addressing any issues or conflicts that may arise and facilitating resolution.
Events and Sponsorships
- Plan and execute seminars, webinars, and networking events, sponsorships, and community events that promote the firm’s expertise and services.
- Identify and manage sponsorship opportunities that align with the firm’s brand and community involvement.
- Develop and host GOLDLAW’s signature events and platforms.
Shared Leadership Responsibilities with the other CMO
Vendor and Contract Management
- Oversee relationships with external vendors and agencies, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and performance standards.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
- Manage promotional items (i.e.,” swag”), creation, purchase, maintenance, and distribution.
Budget Management
- Prepare and manage the Marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.
- Monitor and analyze expenditures, providing regular reports on budget performance to senior management.
Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives and multiple practice areas.
- Lead the Marketing team to achieve defined goals and ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
Market Research, Trends, and Analytics
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform marketing strategies.
- Analyze data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and campaigns.
Compliance
- Ensure all Marketing practices comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote ethical marketing practices and protect the organization's brand reputation.
KPI Development and Monitoring For The Entire Marketing Team
- Establish key performance indicators to measure the success of marketing initiatives.
- Regularly report on performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the Marketing and business development team to achieve departmental goals.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree in Marketing or an MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in a marketing leadership role, preferably within the legal or professional services sector.
- Strong understanding of mass media, digital marketing, and social media strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Experience in business development, client relationship management, and event planning
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office setting as well as working out in the field with the public at events. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Manual dexterity, physical mobility, and some physical strength/stamina.
