Route Delivery Driver / Field Service Representative

Position Summary:
GA Foods is seeking to hire a Route Delivery Driver for our Fort Lauderdale location. If you have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and want to make a difference in people’s lives, this job is for you!
Our Route Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering ready-made hot and/or frozen meals to senior citizens and other at-risk populations along assigned routes. Compassion and empathy are essential traits for success in this role.
Responsibilities:

Safely deliver food and supplies to customer homes/sites accurately and on time

Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform daily vehicle inspections

Follow food safety guidelines and comply with temperature requirements

Promptly report any issues or concerns to supervisor

Maintain driver scorecard and complete required documentation

Check fluid levels and conduct basic vehicle checks

Assist with packing and storing food/supplies as needed

Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Valid driver’s license (no DUI in past 5 years, 0–4 current points)

Minimum 3 years of prior route delivery/distribution experience preferred

Good communication and customer service skills

Familiarity with general office equipment and GPS/tablet technologies

ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred
Physical Demands:

Frequently lift up to 50 lbs

Sitting: Over 2/3 of the time

Talking, hearing, seeing: Over 2/3 of the time

Use of hands, reaching: 1/3 to 2/3 of the time

Standing, walking, climbing, stooping: Under 1/3 of the time
Work Environment:

Work performed both outdoors and inside a vehicle

Regular exposure to weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow
