International College of Health Sciences (ICHS) is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Comptroller to manage and oversee the College's financial transactions, with a particular focus on handling multi-million-dollar accounts. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the financial integrity of the organization and ensuring that all accounting activities are executed with precision and professionalism. This position requires expertise in QuickBooks Desktop and a solid background in accounting.
Purpose
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with college policies and regulatory standards. This role is essential in supporting the college’s financial operations and contributing to informed decision-making at all levels.
Responsibilities
Financial Record Management
· Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
· Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate entry of transactions
· Manage college credit card transactions, including reconciliation and expense tracking
· Prepare, review, and post journal entries
· Oversee bank reconciliation and resolve discrepancies promptly
Reporting and Compliance
· Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
· Prepare documentation for audits and assist with audit processes as required
· Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
· Maintain organized digital and physical record-keeping systems for all financial documents
Administrative and Technical Support
· Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to manage all financial data and reporting
· Prepare reports, statistical data, and other materials as requested by management
· Support the finance team with administrative duties such as organizing, filing, shredding, and copying documents
· Maintain inventory of office and financial supplies
Communication and Coordination
· Professionally represent the organization in all financial communications
· Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate smooth financial operations
· Respond to inquiries and requests for financial information from management, auditors, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
Qualifications
Education / Experience / Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper, with proven responsibility for multi-million-dollar accounts
- Demonstrated experience managing company credit cards and related reconciliations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is required
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Desired:
- Experience in a corporate or multi-entity environment
- Previous experience supporting financial audits
- Familiarity with additional accounting software
