Position Summary:
The Program Specialist (Enrollment & Matching) is actively involved in community organizations and with school partners and collaborating directly with volunteers, children, and families for the purpose of creating, supporting, and sustaining high volume, high quality Big Little matches.
Essential to the BBBS brand, the primary function of this position is providing high-level customer service throughout the effective implementation of the child/parent enrollment and volunteer enrollment and matching process in accordance with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program options.
The Candidate will be responsible for enrollment and matching volunteers and children throughout Hillsborough County primarily and other counties as assigned. Candidate must be willing to travel to in-person appointments to complete interviews and fingerprints in various communities.
Candidate must have a high school diploma/GED equivalent and meet one of the following criteria:
- A documented bachelor’s degree, from an accredited college or university, in human service, social work, counselling, child development or related field. Or the candidate shall be within six months of degree completion.
- A documented associate degree or two years of higher education experience, from an accredited college or university in human service, social work, counseling, child development or related field. Plus, two years of relevant work experience in related fields.
- Four years of relevant work experience in related fields, such as social work, counseling, social services, child development, or other related fields as defined by the agency.
Candidate must be fluent Bilingual English/Spanish Speaking. Candidate must fluently read and write in Spanish.
Minimum two years' experience working with both child and adult population; specific assessment preferred.
Proficiency in technical areas such as: Microsoft OFFICE, including Work, Outlook, and Excel. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums.
