Job Description

Job DescriptionKeyStaff is seeking a CDL Class A driver. Hourly rate $25.00 plus benefits (insurance, PTO, retirement, uniforms, holiday pay). The majority of the time, drivers work Monday – Friday, 8:30 am until 4:30 pm. Occasional half-day on Saturdays and earlier than 8:30. We have Roll-Off Trucks and Straight Trucks (trailers – flat bed, PUP, gondola, open tops). The majority of driving is with roll-off trucks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Roll-Off Trucks: Safely drive and operate roll-off trucks to collect and transport waste materials from various locations, including construction sites and commercial facilities.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and Unload Containers: Securely load and unload roll-off containers, ensuring proper handling and positioning for transport.
  • Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of materials transported, miles driven, and any incidents or maintenance needs.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding service schedules and needs.
  • Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Qualifications

  • Education: A high school diploma is typically required; additional training in vehicle operation or waste management is beneficial.
  • Licensing: A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is necessary, along with a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Previous experience operating roll-off trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong driving skills, mechanical aptitude, safety consciousness, and good communication skills are essential for this role.
