Loan Officer Assistant
About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant to support a high-volume mortgage team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in the loan process—guiding borrowers through the initial steps, reviewing applications, and ensuring each file is accurate, complete, and ready for successful submission.
What You’ll Do
• Take mortgage applications verbally over the phone using an intake system.
• Review online mortgage applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Collect, organize, and verify borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, etc.).
• Cross-check applications against supporting documents to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with Loan Officers to help structure loans based on qualifications and program guidelines.
• Update and maintain records across multiple technology platforms.
• Communicate clearly with borrowers, real estate agents, and internal team members to keep the process moving smoothly.
• Support a fast-paced, high-volume pipeline while maintaining strong attention to detail.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience as a Loan Officer, Loan Officer Assistant, Mortgage Loan Processor, or Mortgage Underwriter.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and validate financial documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort working with technology (CRM, LOS, document management systems).
• A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
