Your Role:
As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will:
- Evaluate specimen acceptability for testing based on established criteria.
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot advanced laboratory instrumentation.
- Make informed technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
- Deliver accurate and timely test results to enhance patient care.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
- A valid Florida Medical Technologist License.
- Previous clinical laboratory testing experience (highly preferred).
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed.
Work Schedule:
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with rotating on-call for weekends.
