Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the shipment of materials, ensuring that all shipping procedures are efficiently executed.
Responsibilities
- Familiarize yourself with UPS ground and FedEx shipping, including FedEx International.
- Prepare documents such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, shipping labels, and shipping orders to route materials.
- Determine the appropriate shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Communicate effectively with establishment representatives to resolve issues, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Drive a lift truck or show willingness to learn.
- Conduct day-to-day duties using Everest and True Commerce platforms.
Essential Skills
- Experience in shipping and receiving.
- Material handling.
- Proficiency with RF scanners, FedEx shipping, invoices, shipping labels, shipping orders, and route materials.
- Inventory management skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training is preferred.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

This position is based out of Tampa, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
