The Assistant Sales Manager will play a key role in supporting the sales organization and cross-department collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Creating reports to monitor sales team performance and identifying individuals needing assistance or development.
- Proactively coaching mediocre performing sales employees on techniques for development of creative sales prospects, working with company provided leads, etc. to improve closing percentages in each division.
- Encourage cross selling our products to maximize each lead.
- Ride with sales employees to observe and provide coaching as needed.
- Motivate sales team to increase daily, weekly, monthly sales, and daily update of Sales leaderboard.
- Review terms new Service Agreements, calculate and approve salesperson commissions.
- 1st point of contact for to assist with pricing for commercial bids and sales proposals for large jobs, and as liaison with service departments.
- Assist with requests for quotes by phone.
- Act as resource for field sales reps needing assistance [pricing, service programs, etc.].
- Prepare and contribute a sales motivation section to weekly sales meeting.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Successful sales work experience, including managing and coaching sales teams [industry experience preferred]
- Proficiency in Pest Pac, Sales Center, Measure Map, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite. Tech knowledgeable and resourceful.
- Able to use iPad Software and applications including special measuring tools [ie. draw, measure, graphs, contracts, reporting], teach, troubleshoot, learn new software products, etc.
- Ongoing recruiting for new sales team members.
- Strong reporting skills, including ad hoc report creation, Excel proficiency, etc.
- Sense of urgency re sales team requests, customer requests, etc.
